The Jamala Wildlife Lodge is the only zoo in Australia where you can stay for more than just a sleepover one night because they offer up to three night accommodations. Roar and Snore is a one night sleepover event that includes evening snacks, a close up animal encounter, a dinner buffet with views of Sydney Harbour, and high end zoo safari tent accommodations. The Taronga Zoo in Sydney has a sister zoo in the Western Plains of New South Wales in Dubbo. This is where all of the larger plains animals are housed like rhinos, antelopes, giraffes, and elephants. The habitat is an open, natural bushland. There are 3 different overnight zoo sleepover accommodations at the Taronga Western Plains Zoo: the Zoofari Lodge, the Savannah Cabins, and the Billabong Camp. The Zoofari Lodge is definitely a highlight because it has recently been renovated making it an even more luxurious and memorable safari type experience.
