Trover is now Officially Acquired by Expedia

Global giant in the travel business, Expedia has now acquired the popular photography community if Trover. The brand had an app as well as a website where users could share their travel photos within the community. There has been no official disclosures in regards to the deal terms and value. Expedia spokesperson was heard quoting that the company believes in the power of travelling. They believe that it has the ability of transforming people and it is why they believe it’s important on their part to inspire the travellers.


Hence, the acquisition is definitely a way that can help in walking closer to this dream. With the platform enabling people to share their pictures, the company is all excited and geared up to reap the benefits of the partnership. It was only officially announced on Wednesday this week through the blog of Trover.

Expedia has been on a mission to revolutionize the aspect of travel by use of technology which they believe can be a lot easier and stronger with the beautiful content as well as social experience fitted inside the Trover’s platform. It was in the year 2013 when Trover had announced to raise $2.5 million through funding by way of travel bookings and the expense fund of Concur’s Perfect Trip Fund. Trover was established in the year 2011 and was the brainchild of the owners of Travepost.
