Finally, it’s here. You are getting ready to go on the ski vacation you’ve planned for months. Packing for cheap ski holidays is not easy. The gear and equipment is so bulky. And it is hard to know what to bring. It will be cold so layers are critical. Here are some packing tips:

Packing For Your Ski Trip

  • Make sure you bring at least two hats – they get wet and you don’t want a wet head.
  • Bring layers. The layers may get sweaty from skiing so again – two pairs allows you to wash or dry the other. You will probably need long underwear for both top and bottom, a thin sweater/fleece or turtleneck, and maybe even another layer that is thicker. You will need a few sets of these.
  • Proper ski clothing is worth the money. You will probably one need one set because of the layers so it’s better to spend money on the warmest and most comfortable you can get. They need to be insulated and water proof. Once you get wet, it can be miserable. And never wear jeans. They will get wet and heavy and “weigh down” your trip.
  • Keep everything warm. You will need ski gloves and a pair of regular gloves. Proper socks keep your feet from getting wet. Goggles and hats are a must. And helmets are suggested for safety purposes.
  • Don’t wear regular sneakers. Get a pair of snow boots to wear so your feet stay dry.
  • Bring a bathing suit for the sauna or hot tub. You won’t regret it.
  • Pack extra sunscreen, moisturizer, chapstick, and hot warmers for hands and feet.
