Hawaii may be part of the United States of America but it is quite far from it geographically speaking. The islands also enjoy splendid weather almost all year round which makes them all the more attractive to travelers.

The Big Island of Hawaii is where you can find the best dive spots as well as the best snorkeling areas. The area called Kona is highly recommended for these activities. Many other water sports can be availed at the Hawaii Islands. For those who wish to stay ashore, the beaches vary from black sand to white and even olive green. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is where one can drive along side a live volcanic crater and be engulfed with light to heavy steam. Visitors of this Hawaii Islands’ attraction can see the molten lava making its way out of the ground.

Iolani Palace is the only royal palace in the United States of America. This palace was built in 1882 and enjoyed electricity and telephones way ahead of the White House. It can be located at downtown Honolulu and was built under the rule of King Kalakaua and Queen Kapiolani. This monument to the royalty of Hawaii is still standing proud and is very well maintained.

The Kona region of the Hawaii Islands is where the world famous Kona coffee originally from. The factors that make Kona Hawaii ideal for growing great tasting coffee are rich soil, sunny climes almost all year round and the chill of high elevations. There are many coffee plantations in the Kona part of the Hawaii Islands and these plantations give guided tours to interested visitors and tourists as well as give free samples of their delicious coffee. Pineapples are also abundant in the Hawaii Islands. These are grown healthily in acres of land and are exported to all over the world by Dole.

Visiting the Hawaii Islands can be an experience that you will remember for the rest of your life. You will probably want to return to the Hawaii Islands to soak up the sun and bask in the sun kissed beaches.
